DONATION OF PT. MEIJI INDONESIA IN COMBATING THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK

The virus outbreak caused by the COVID-19 virus has now become a global pandemic and has infected more than one million people in various countries as of April 9th, 2020. In Indonesia up to April 9th, 2020, this virus has infected more than 3,200 people. With this background, we, PT. Meiji Indonesia, gave a donation as a form of the Company's concern in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. This donation was given in three forms, which were: in the form of giving disinfectant fluids, funds to purchase PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for medical fighters and in the form of medicines.

The first donation took the form of disinfectant fluids with the trade name Rubysta for the amount of 10 boxes each to 6 referral hospitals handling COVID-19, namely:

1. RSPI Soelianti Saroso, North Jakarta
2. RSUP Persahabatan, East Jakarta
3. Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital, Central Jakarta
4. RSAL Mintoharjo, Central Jakarta
5. Fatmawati General Hospital, South Jakarta
6. Cengkareng Regional Hospital, West Jakarta

Donation of Rubysta to RSUP Persahabatan at East Jakarta,
which was received directly by one of the nurses of PPI, Ms. Euis on 18 March 2020.

For the second donation, to support the medical staff and paramedics who are at the frontlines in tackling the COVID-19 outbreak, we donated a sum of 100 million rupiahs to procure PPE for doctors and paramedical teams. This is especially to RS. Persahabatan which was one of the referral hospitals who lack said PPE. We have distributed this donation through IPMG (International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group), an organization that houses foreign pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia.

Finally, we donated some of our medicines. One of them is SP Troches, with the category of antiseptic products for mouth and throat donated through BPOM  amounting to 600,000 tablets. In addition, we also donated our antibiotic products in the amount of 5,000 tablets.

We hope that the donation we provided can help medical personnel, paramedics, and patients deal with the COVID-19 outbreak. Hopefully, all the people in Indonesia can unite in combating this global epidemic and receive the blessings from God Almighty. (Editorial team)
