Composition:
2-sec-butylphenyl-N-methylcarbamate 200 mg

Objective of  Contents:
To inform our customer that Meiji has existing veterinary products.

Background:
2-Secondary butylphenyl-N-methylcarbamate, which is the main active ingredient of Barizon, inhibits cholinesterase activity. This active ingredient inhibits the activity of acetylcholinesterase (an excitatory neurotransmitter in nerve signal transmission). The mechanism of this inhibitory activity is competitive inhibition through binding to the active site of the enzyme. This causes continuous excitation of the target, triggering symptoms of intoxication through inhibition of nerve function.

Objective:
To let all the customers (including Healthcare Personnel) know about our existing product: BARIZON and find the information about the product.

1. Pest vcontrol of ixodid ticks, birds’ mites such as red mite and northern fowlmite, stable fly, hog louse, fleas and lice which are parasitic in livestock barn and pest control of wiggler around livestock barn:
   Sprays or apply the drug by diluting 500 to 1000 times
2. Pest control of wiggler around livestock barn:
   Use with a ratio of 2 to 5 ml of the drug in 1000 L of water.

Instruction to Use

1. Wear protective equipment including mask, goggles, and rubber gloves etc. when applying.
2. Prepare water for dilution in the chemical tank container, put this drug in the container, and stir well with a rod etc. (Do not stir directly with finger).
3. Spray or apply the liquid drug evenly.
4. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water after handling the products.
